Background
In 2010 GE launched the Vscan, a revolutionary battery-operated pocket-sized visualization tool providing black and white anatomic and color-coded blood flow images in real time. It is easily integrated into physical examinations, allowing physicians to provide a virtual visual inspection into the body. The images are generated based on ultrasound technology.
GE was looking for an eye catching demonstration tool that would help people to understand the way the human body's 4 major systems (muscular, nervous, cardiovascular and the skeleton) work.
Solution
Visible You! Your doppelganger comes to life!
BrandFirst developed for GE digital simulations of the body's nerves, muscles and cardiovascular systems – all while mimicking the user's every move in a real time. When a visitor enters the interactive booth (the one shown here was used in the USA Pavilion exhibition in Shanghai during Expo2010), the scanner displays a real-time 3D model of the visitor's body, moving in sync with him or her.
The image on the life-size vertical display scales to the user's general height and mirrors his/her gestures (lifting arms and legs, jumping, running in place) in life-size, high-definition 3D, Highlighting GE's body-scanning technology.
Tronic Studio managed the graphical conception.
